End of the Month View: November 2014

This is the sorry state of my garden today.  In amongst all that wreckage there are a surprising number of small flowers.  The two delphiniums are still blooming but looking very sorry for themselves; a few periwinkles have appeared and the japonica has decided it must be Spring.  This is the view from my greenhouse showing how it got this way through 2014:

  1. Don't you just get a bit annoyed with clearing dead leaves up (3rd lot of mine needs clearing again). I photographed the emerging and flowing plants in my back garden yesterday and then my camera went berzerk for some reason, before I could upload any pics.

    1. Left mine this year ... waiting until the trees are completely empty then I'll pick them up!

  2. Now you can plan how it will all look next year :)

    1. Planning two changes for next year. I want a round lawn instead of a rectangle and a 'hot' border near the greenhouse. I keep changing my mind though!

  3. Your garden looked wonderful from early spring until fall. November is the month of fallen leaves, it is the way it ought to be. Winter is on its way, time to dream and plan how the garden will be next year.

    1. It cheered me up to look back because it showed me what it will look like again in a few months. It's a right mess at the moment!

  4. It looks pretty to me. The only green things in my landscape from now until March are evergreens, green cars, and green houses. ;-) Everything else is white, gray, and brown. Nice end-of-month view!

    1. Thank you. I found quite a few flowers in amongst the dead leaves but the photos looked depressing so I didn't use them.

  5. I love the slide show from the same perspective each month. Your garden looks lovely, even in November :)

    1. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. I was playing about with the Gadget options on Blogger and found out how to make a slide show ... I will try not to bore people by including one in EVERY post from now on!

  6. I do like your slide show which really shows how the garden changes through the year. I often do something similar for the December post, mainly because the garden is so dull by then I need to distract readers with something. I do think you are being harsh describing the garden as 'wreckage' there is still lots to see
Thanks for joining in with the meme this year.

    1. Thank you for hosting. It gives me the opportunity to explore other people's gardens, get ideas and find new blogs.

  7. November is my least favourite month, it's so sad to see it all withering back. But never fear, in a couple more months, if not before, new shoots will be starting to bud.

    1. Yes, there's signs of life already as the bulbs are all popping into view. It feels like Spring out there today ... shame we have to get through Winter properly yet!
